My Vision

This post will serve as a foundation for what my AICE Media Studies Component 1 will be based on. As the year progresses, it is important not only for me but for the viewers or graders at Cambridge to have a good or well-established basis for what my Component 1 will be focused on. It is important for me to stay loyal to this basis or at least come back to this post and alter it slightly if it must.       For my AICE Media Studies Component 1, I will be doing the "Magazine task (print)" option. This decline in quality has been due to how overwhelming the newest “phases” of Marvel projects have been for the VFX artists. Whereas before, Marvel used to release two to three movies yearly, now they relea...

Choosing/Getting the Platform

This past week was dedicated to getting access to the Adobe InDesign program. As said before, I am certified in the program and plan to use it for Component 1, or another program called "Canva." The reason there was time being spent on "getting access" was that although I am certified in the program, my school district took away my access to the program after the past school year.       This is an issue that has been talked about between me and my peers, who have faced the same issue as well. To remedy this, we have been frequently going to our teacher, Mrs. Romero, who taught us the program last year and she has been taking several efforts in helping us have access to InDesign. She has contacted her supervisor and told us what they told her, but it has not really helped us at all in being able to use the program. As for now, Mrs. Romero has told us to tell our AICE Media Studies teacher to notify our school's leader of the Cambridge program, to ...
