Choosing/Getting the Platform
This past week was dedicated to getting access to the Adobe InDesign program. As said before, I am certified in the program and plan to use it for Component 1, or another program called "Canva." The reason there was time being spent on "getting access" was that although I am certified in the program, my school district took away my access to the program after the past school year.
This is an issue that has been talked about between me and my peers, who have faced the same issue as well. To remedy this, we have been frequently going to our teacher, Mrs. Romero, who taught us the program last year and she has been taking several efforts in helping us have access to InDesign. She has contacted her supervisor and told us what they told her, but it has not really helped us at all in being able to use the program. As for now, Mrs. Romero has told us to tell our AICE Media Studies teacher to notify our school's leader of the Cambridge program, to see if he can get us access to the program.
For now, my peers and I have come to a mutual conclusion that we could ask our other friends who have access to the program if we could their InDesign. However, I have more strongly thought of just using the Canva program if the Cambridge program leader of my school does not successfully get us access to Adobe InDesign.
